What are the standard requirements to apply for probationary membership and for full membership?

1. The club has clear objectives stated in a constitution.
2. The club has been in existence for at least one full year before applying to become a member of the ECMC. The date of a club's constitution is to be considered as the founding date of the club.
3. The club agrees to the Constitution of the ECMC, and to support the objectives of the ECMC.
4. The club should have at least fifteen members.
5. The club is a non-profit organization.
6. The club organizes at least one meeting of its members each year.
7. The club does not allow the wearing of Nazi insignia or uniforms at its events. The club does not tolerate racist and Nazi attitudes, manifestations and actions, or membership of anti-democratic organizations.

When applying to become an ECMC club, what are the documents needed and when should they be sent?

Three (3) months before an AGM, the following documents must be sent to the ECMC Secretariat:
1. A formal letter of application.
2. A letter of sponsorship from (at least) two existing full ECMC member clubs.
3. A copy of the club's constitution stating the support of the sponsoring clubs.
These documents will be requested for the application for probationary membership and again for the application for full membership.

Becoming a probationary member club

The club applying for probationary membership must attend the AGM where its application is discussed.
The club must gain the support of at least 75 per cent of member clubs.
The vote is by secret ballot.
If the result of the vote is YES, the club has the status of probationary member for a period of maximum one year and can apply for full membership at the next ECMC AGM.

Becoming a full member club

After a period of maximum one year (subsequent ECMC AGM), the club can apply for full membership.
The club applying for full membership must attend the AGM where its application is discussed.
The club must gain the support of at least 75 per cent of member clubs.
The vote is by secret ballot.
If the result of the vote is YES, the club has the status of full member.

ECMC cloth patches and insignia

Cloth patches and other ECMC insignia are worn by full members of full member clubs of the ECMC only.
